Human Resources,
I would like the opportunity to discuss employment as a Superintendent. I have been in the commercial and residential construction business for over 25 years. I am a well seasoned Construction Manager, and have extensive experience in: “Under Ground & Upâ€, Public and private bid work, Commercial Buildings, Retail, Industrial, Medical, Manufacturing, Multifamily, Luxury Custom Homes, Development, Infrastructure, and Tenant Improvements. I have a good balance of hands on Construction Management, Environmental Remediation, Safety, and Green Building methods.
In my experience as a superintendent I have learned, my 5 main responsibilities are Safety/Quality/Schedule/Budget/Building Inspections. I focus on the physical work being done and the people doing it. Then during the opportune times, I do my paper work and complete all my critical tasks and planning. Such as, critical path management and document control. I keep daily logs, where I focus on the 3 ps: people, production, problems. I safely expedite the job, being proactive and dialed into the plans and specs for the project. In short, from permit to “certificate of occupancyâ€.
Working for a General Contractor as a Project Manager, I take the job from Bid through pre construction management, Construction, Delivery to client and Warranty. In addition, Scheduling, Estimating, Contract procurement and administration, writing contracts, subcontract awards; Purchasing & Resource allocation, Technical writing. Insurance and Bond issues. Architectural and Engineering Team Leader on Design Build Contracts. . I am also responsible for; Safety: Accident Prevention Plan and Claims Control. In short, from concept to design to permit.
In addition to my management skills, I am an architectural draftsman & team designer, liaison to the structural engineer, and a journeyman carpenter, and hold a General Contractors License in Boulder, CO. I am Competent with ICC IRC, IBC, UBC, and OSHA 29 CFR. Over 20 years working with building owners in Customer Service. Business development, Advertising, Marketing, Web design. General office management. Land and Loan procurement, State of the art, Interior design, Accounting and profit accountability.
Please feel free to call for an interview. Thank you!
